About Us

Eaglin and Associates Counseling (EAC), a licensed substance use treatment disorder and DUI Provider opened in 2017 in Park Ridge, Illinois. Since its inception, EAC has deployed a philosophy that treatment is based on the belief that addiction is a family issue. EA Counseling seeks to assist the client with treatment that is based on three pillars or recovery:

Motivate, Activate & Assimilate

Motivate

We know that a motivated client is a recovery superstar. Recovery is achieved sooner and with longer lasting positive outcomes when clients can ‘see’ recovery for themselves. EA Counseling assists clients in motivation by providing much needed education as to the scope of the problem, the vision to see the future without substances and a safe place to process the recovery journey. Connection to a recovery community is another key. To that end, we offer free weekly SMART Recovery meetings, presented on-line, to help clients newer to recovery connect with a group of recovery veterans.

Activate

EA Counseling knows that when a client finds the motivation to step toward recovery, relief from addiction can be quick. Small steps are celebrated, but continuously challenged, to identify potential triggers and build the skills to fight lapse/relapse.

Clients are afforded the flexibility to meet with clients at a time of their choosing and telehealth makes treatment closer than ever.

Assimilate

EA Counselors understand that the journey to recovery is challenging, and maintaining a sober lifestyle requires lifelong commitment. That’s why we create personalized recovery plans that help clients embrace this new way of life. Our approach includes engaging in recovery-focused activities that reduce boredom, stimulate natural enjoyment, and strengthen a sober lifestyle. We believe recovery isn’t just about avoiding addiction—it’s about building a fulfilling, enjoyable, and active life. Each plan is tailored to maximize the positive and reinforcing aspects of recovery. Building a recovery identity is the focus.
